I'm Dhiraj, a Software Engineer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. I like understanding how systems work beneath the surface and then turning that understanding into software people can depend on.
My professional work is focused on US healthcare software at Cedar Gate Technologies, where I work with .NET, AWS, databases, data processing and monitoring systems. Healthcare software brings real constraints: data privacy, interoperability, reliability and the need to make complicated workflows understandable.
What I enjoy
I particularly enjoy problems where the obvious solution isn't quite enough: designing a clean boundary between systems, tracing data through an asynchronous workflow, understanding why a production system behaves differently than expected, or building a small language just to understand how languages work.
Outside the code
I'm interested in technology beyond whatever I'm currently building. I also enjoy painting, learning guitar, exploring places around Nepal, and spending time with the people close to me.
Education
I studied Computer Science and continue to deepen my foundations in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented and functional programming, compiler design, and systems engineering.
